About this blog

Published by pianogeek

I’ve been called cheap before, but what other saw as cheap was frugal.  I think there is a big difference between the cheap and frugal, for example, frugal is clipping coupons and patiently waiting for what you want to go on sale.  Cheap is sticking your friend with the restaurant tab for the second time or taking left overs home from a party when you didn’t even help prepare for the party.

I have had to count my pennies and even when it was no longer necessary, I still continued to.  Why?  Because I found out that if you are patient, you can buy everything at least 40% cheaper than full price.

I still continue to find what I want to buy at thrift stores, craigslist.com and the internet.    Allowing me to buy things using cash and not using credit cards.  As you read my blog, you’ll be able to follow my story as I count my beans and save money, and learn how you can do it, too.
