Making money on eHow
I have been writing for eHow for a while now and one of the biggest questions on the forums is, “Can I make money?” It remains one of the biggest questions because everyone is hesitant to answer that questions. Why? Because there is no definite answer. There are so many variables. How much you write in a month, if your article is on a popular subject, if you are writing quality articles, if your keywords are good, if you are found on the search engine, etc. Like I said, too many variables.
I got an email today from an online friend of mine and they told me they were making $15.00 a day on eHow and wondered if it was on target. I have this formula that I came up with that seems to be running true for me, but since I really didn’t know how everyone else was doing, I had no one to compare it to. The formula is: You earn a $1.00 a day for every 50 articles you write. For example: I have written 50 articles, they should be earning a $1.00 a day, resulting in $50.00 in earnings that month. I seemed to be a little ahead of that curve and my friend also was ahead of that curve. We both do a lot of social marketing and that may have something to do with it or my formula may need a little tweaking.
If any of you are writing on eHow, can you let me know how this formula works for you? Is it spot on? Also, let me know how long you’ve been on eHow, as anything less than 3 months seems to make a difference. I think with a little help from my friends we may be able to figure out the norm for eHow earnings.

I’ve been writing for ehow for only a few months, I think since sometime in December. I have 21 articles I think and I just got paid from them yesterday. I made $14.91 so far. I’ve taken a break from writing on there, but am now reconsidering it and wondering if it is feasible to make a residual income off of it, then maybe it’s worth writing many more articles on there. It can’t hurt, right? If you are right and around 50 articles or so should make you $50 a month, then that would mean if you have 100 articles, $100 and so on. I think that would be great if every article makes you $1 or more a month. I’m not sure how their system works, I still haven’t figured it out yet. I’m beginning to think that it might be worth it to work up to at least 100 articles or more though just to see how much you can make from ehow. The best outcome would be to write lots and lots of articles and make a residual income off of it, that would be my goal and I’m sure is the goal of many of the writers on there. I’m just not sure yet how plausible it is. More ehow writers need to let others know maybe exactly how well they are doing. Is anyone actually making a living from articles on ehow or is anyone making a steady residual income of say a couple hundred dollars a month from them? I would definitely like to know.
I did the same thing when I started. Wrote a little, got some money and went, whoa what if I wrote a 100 articles. EHow’s system works by paying you some money every time someone clicks on the ads on your article. I have made a lot of friends on eHow and know them personally, and if you learn about SEO and keep writing you have the potential to have a nice income every single month that you can count on. Yes, there are lots that are making over a hundred dollars and some that are making $1000 to $2000 a month. The only mystery is that some people make less or more depending on their SEO knowledge and their subjects. Going to the forums and reading can provide you with all the tools and knowledge you need to know to make money.
