Kindergarten Boot Camp

Published by pianogeek under Life in General Edit This

My work at home idea for today is starting your very own Kindergarten Boot Camp.   I got this idea when I heard my neighbor teaching a toddler their A,B,C’s in preparation for starting kindergarten.  Kindergarten in my day was playing and finger painting, but it is much more now, and there are a lot of parents out there that need help preparing their child for kindergarten.

You can start by finding out what requirements your city will want you to have to start this business.  Since you are doing a workshop and not providing day care it may be no more than a business license.

Contact the elementary schools in your area and find out what they teach in kindergarten and if they have any requirements from the children before they begin.

Map out a location in your home that will work as a small school room.  You will need enough room so that kids can walk around and sit down and you can have an area to teach.  You will also need an area where they can sit down and write.

You will need a small budget so that you can purchase supplies and also do some advertising.   Check to see if there are any business fairs coming up that you can participate in.
