Meeting the Parents
Too nervous to eat?
It’s finally happening. You will be meeting your partner’s parents for the very first time.
What do you wear? How to you Dress? What do you say? It can be all so nerve wracking.
You have learned from the past, that it’s not that easy. They can take something you innocently said and turn it into a reason to hate you.
While your boyfriend is not looking, his mother may shoot you a dirty look or maybe she drags you into the kitchen to ask when you are going to get married.
For the guys it’s not much easier, her father may ask you about what college you went to and how much money you are making and if you are a democrate or a republican.
Then here comes Aunt Mabel. She is a little bit tipsy and oh so, old smelling. She keeps you captive as she talks about her cat for hours, until she finally dozes off in mid sentence. Then Little Johnny darts in and out with his toy trucks and runs over your foot, the dog slobbers all over your pants and you’d swear that Uncle Ted is giving you the eye.
